Purchased VM and parts of the site not working.... 11 Years, 10 Months ago

I recently purchased the Vehicle Manager components as well as the Template package. Now that the site is up and running for the most part, some things are not working correctly. This is a business website and it has been down for a month due to changing hosting services. I really need to get it back up running as soon as possible or at least in a workable state.

1) No way to edit the Make and type of vehicles.

2) Can't add vehicles from the front end.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Please be careful - if you bought from us template with component build in, you need use component what was built in. Because we special adjast that component for correct work with template, and all modules. We created for build in component special class and some time do some code change.

1) No way to edit the Make and type of vehicles.
For edit the Make and type of vehicles in vehicle manager - you need edit file:

{yours site}/administrator/components/com_vehiclemanager/makers_and_models.txt

2) Can't add vehicles from the front end.
We need know what exactly you install, what template, do you reinstall components and modules ...
also will be best if you will give to yours site admin access - with that we will can check where error.
Yours account details you may send to ordasoft contact form

Thanks,

Ok I edited my makes and models txt file and it is working fine. Thanks for that help. I also re-installed everything and now I am able to add vehicles from the front end. I still have a problem with the template though. I install the Auto Dealership April 2012 template. The same problem occurs each time I install the template though. Here is a screenshot of the glitch. You can see the code on the right...shouldn't that be options and not code:

Can someone tell me how to edit the "Type" of vehicles. I need to add other types of vehicles to choose from when adding vehicles.

Thanks

hello,

If you have last version vehicle manager, you any fields may set through language files in folder:
{Yours site}/components/com_vehiclemanager/language

for vehicle type you need redefine constant: _VEHICLE_MANAGER_OPTION_VEHICLE_TYPE

If yours site support more one language - you need redefine that constant at all language files.

Thanks,
