I didn't check it before i bought this component.... Is there a way to upload pictures via the frontend?
Hope to hear from you!

No, in OS Joomla image Gallery you may upload images only from backend.

Please check our free version: ordasoft.com/os-image-gallery.html

That's a shame... I like this component so much but for my customer that's a showstopper. (all my customers are editing their site via frontend)

Perhaps a nice suggestion for a future version?

Sorry, may be in future.

But now if you need give to your clients possibility add galleries from frontend and show they in "user profiles"
You may use for this our CCK(ordasoft.com/cck-content-construction-kit-for-joomla.html), There we have gallery field.
BUT, there only gallery, without lot features as in ordasoft.com/os-image-gallery.html
