Joomla Real Estate

Hi,
I'm trying to update the site of my client www.casaserviceplus.it currently using joomla 2.5 and real estate manager 2.2 Free. Do I have to update the website because there are over two hundred listings of homes for sale .

I purchased real estate manager pro package and I intend to purchase a template for professional joomla 3.x , but can not update real estate manager.

I tried to follow the procedures indicated in this update your page :

I followed the first and after the second procedure , both before Joomla 2.5 and after updating to 3.4.5 . In any case I was not able to complete the process , always it gave me error .

I ask if there are other procedures or if I can provide the access parameters administrator to help me to update the site

Did you make full export of your properties?

Last pro version has many new features, that's why you could have some troubles.


Only one way make update from version 2.2 Free to last PRO this one:

1. Save these files and folders:
{yours site}/administrator/components/com_realestatemanager
{yours site}/components/com_realestatemanager

2. Do full export of your properties.

3. Remove files and folders:
{yours site}/administrator/components/com_realestatemanager
{yours site}/components/com_realestatemanager

4. Install new version of Real Estate Manager.

5. Recover folders:
{yours site}/components/com_realestatemanager/edocs
{yours site}/components/com_realestatemanager/photos
{yours site}/components/com_realestatemanager/media

6. Also you will need update all plugins and modules

excuse me , I have some questions:

how do I export the property ?

before upgrading REM should update Joomla or indifferent ?

hosting uses PHP 5.3.29 , PHP 5.4 is more appropriate ?

Real Estate Manager has options to export your houses to CSV, XML and full XML.

Then follow next steps:

1.Make backup of your website before update and RealEstateManager component too

1.1 Make backup of next folders:
{yours site}/components/com_realestatemanager/edocs
{yours site}/components/com_realestatemanager/photos
{yours site}/components/com_realestatemanager/media
2. Do full export of your properties from version 2.2. (according documentation)

3. Remove old version of Real Estate Manager.

4. Install new version of Real Estate Manager.

4.1 Make import of XML file in new version of Real Estate Manager

5. Recover folders:
{yours site}/components/com_realestatemanager/edocs
{yours site}/components/com_realestatemanager/photos
{yours site}/components/com_realestatemanager/media

6. Also you will need update all plugins and modules.

I apologize , but the version of REM currently on the site ( 2.3 Free) does not allow the export of property , or maybe I do not see it . Maybe you could update the current version with a later permitting the export before you upgrade to version 3.x PRO . Are available to download intermediate versions of REM ?

We are really sorry, but it is only one way to upgrade from the version 2.2 Free to last PRO.

It is very old version, and update it without export not possible, you need only add properties manually.

Yes, it very hard, but there is no other way.

Sorry, if you have at least pro 2.3 or 3.x will be easy.
