BookLibary Component Support

Hello,
First of all great software. It is exactly what i have been looking for.
I got the pro version.
I un-installed the Basic version and then installed the pro.
The first issue I have the same is the same issue reported in this post. The add book link is not showing at all.

The second issue I have is when I try to add a book . I get the following error .#

When it turn off "Use Description merge:" setting in the backend then the book will save but no description is saved, If I put anything in the description box it is deleted when i save unless I change the lookups to "on your own"

As you know I upgraded my book library Pro to the latest version for joomla 2.5.1 (well joomla 2.5.2 as of yesterday) but this error is now back
stop in checkAccessBL() when I try to modify a book or add a new book.
Again i think it is related to the description merge setting in the backend.
Please advise if the old supplied fix will still work seeing there have been a number of changes in the book library component since the first time i came accross this error.
