Do you set Japanese language as default in Joomla language Manager

Most important when you add new language To Joomla Book library


set correct your language code. Please check attachment.

In your case there you need set: 'lang_code'=>'ja-JP', 'title'=>'Japanese'

BUT if you already added Japanese language but with another lang_code, You need create new file with language, as example Japanese2.php, and set there: 'title'=>'Japanese2' - and again upload it.

or you need delete old language with help database access and add new language to joomla book library again
