VehicleManager component support

I have been working to set up this component but it does not appear to use the joomla core SEF rewrite which I have enabled and works on all my other pages?

After creating a main menu item as a vehiclemanager - all vehicles menu item, labeled "Inventory" you would expect something like mydomainname.com/inventory.html

But instead it comes out mydomainname.com/component/vehiclemanage...icle.html?Itemid=292

Also, the page title is not being pulled into the page?

What is the fix for these issues?

all good - that define full path to some exactly car,

If you think that must look and work other - you need rebuild router.php file
"{your site}/component/vehiclemanager/router.php

but for show
{your site}/inventory.html - need rebuild some thing in joomla core also

However, I would have to respectfully disagree with you. I work with plenty of other components that when you create a menu item using the components menu item options, they show up properly with the menu item alias.

For example, I will use the component ChronoForms as a case study here, which I use all the time as do many people, when I set up a new ChronoForms menu item in the menu manager and label that menu item "Contact Us" and label the menu item alias "contact-us". Then on the front end when you click on "Contact Us" in the menu, it redirects as it should to "mydomain.com/contact-us.html", using the alias that the menu item was set up with, not some long string like "mydomain.com/component/vehiclemanager/blah/blah/blah/itemid=123"

This goes for the majority of components out there and I have used plenty of them to know that this is not a core joomla problem. So for you to claim that I have to muddle around in the core joomla files so your component will properly use an SEF url based on the menu items alias I would say your component is the issue here not the other way around?

Am I wrong on this? If so I would really like a good explanation and not finger pointing. I mean no disrespect to your product but this seems like a big issue that appears to have been overlooked?

In Real estate manager - you have many properties connected to one menu item, and for understand what exactly property you see - and need so long url.

also in ChronoForm - router for me not work at all

Some time we spent much effort fr that start work, debug that very not simply.
how router work in Joomla - full not clear, if you wish clear routers - please use sh404sef

I suppose ChronoForms was a poor example, but I could use other robust examples like Moset Tree or even Ads Manager, those are very similar in comparison to your components functionality and complexity and do as they should in regards to using menu alias's and using Joomlas core SEF functionality?

I am not trying to start an argument here in any way or mean no disrespect, but to tell me that I have to purchase another component to get your component to work properly is kind of lame.

I know it is a pointless argument and that no resolve will come from this post at this point, but I have to say I have had nothing but issue after issue with your component since I purchased it and started using it. I have never had to post this many questions, some of which are still not resolved and fixed, just to get a site in development up to speed.

I guess it's my fault for purchasing a less than satisfactory component. Tell you what, why don't you partially refund me the money out of the close to $60 I paid for your component, so I can go buy the other one your telling me to buy to get yours to work right?

again, I am sorry, for change that we need do full component debug, because not clear what errors may appear at rebuild time
