Hello,
I have downloaded the free Nov. 13 Realestate-template. ( unzip to htdocs / folder / localhost XAMPP Vers. 1.8)

The first site of the installation (joomla) runs and runs and runs... (I have waited about 1 hour and nothing happens)
and the next site for database editing and so on don't comes.

Where is the bug?

(I installed many other Joomla installations in the past, so I know how to do a installation)

Quickstart Package allow you install in few clicks Joomla template, Joomla extensions and Demo data, in final you get full Joomla website. In the downloaded file, you can find the folder with name "Quick_start_*Tempate Name".

I have Quickstart Package J. 3.1.

My problem is (I have it already written):

The Installation J.3.1 starts the first site, that's ok.

But:
This first site of installation is open and load with no end, and I cannot klick to the next page of installation.

Perhaps is XAMPP Vers. 1.8. too new (php 5.4), i don't know?

See my screenshot, if you don't know, what I mean, because my enlish is not so good.

In this tutorial, we are pleased to instruct you how to install a Joomla Template by Quickstart on localhost?
Here are steps that you can follow.

Step 1: You start XAMPP Control Panel Application:
Step 2: You then extract the template file to folder.
Step 3: Inside this folder, you see quickstart package. To set up quickstart , you unzip file quickstart to folder quickstart.
Step 4: Copy quickstart folder to htdocs in xampp and you install it like you do with a normal Joomla website:
Step 5: Start installing. (Local host/quickstart)
Your screen must be identical with that of a normal Joomla. You conduct three stages:
Stage 1 is Configuration: You import: site name, admin email, admin username, admin password and confirm admin password then you click next to continue
In stage 2, you make database configuration in database type, username, database name...and then choose Next:
The last stage is Overview, where you can check everything once again before installing. If there is nothing to edit, you click install.

Do You have installed in the same way?

thank you for the installation-instructions.
But I know how to install this quickstart installation. (I have installed over hundred Joomla Installations at the past).


My problem is that the first Site of Joomla-Installation appears, and after editing all at stage 1 the installation freezes (look at my screenshot).

And here is the problem, I have never seen before:

I CANNOT CLICK THE BUTTON "CONTINUE", because the Configuration-Site after editing (this 1.st site of Joomla-Installation) works, and works and works.... and I cannot click/ get to the 2.step for database...

Is it possible, that my XAMPP-Version 1.8 with PHP 5.4 is too new for installing this template?

Should I prefer an older XAMPP-Version 1.7 ?
