BookLibary Component Support

When I install BookLibrary Pro on my LocalHost server (XAMPP), I get an error message saying that the component cannot find the yaz extension and that I should recompile my PHP.

I use php 5.2.9 and somewhere on the internet, I read that this late version no longer includes the php_yaz.dll and that the installed yaz.dll's (version 1.9.1) don't work.

The result is that even though I activate the yaz extension in php.ini I still get an error message. I have tried to replace the yaz dll's with newer versions and copy a php_yaz.dll found on the internet to the php extension file, but the BookLibrary component still reports fault.

Any suggestions?

For work with YAZ - we use PECL package pecl.php.net/package/yaz

Also if you not use YAZ - for search book. Yours component will good work without YAZ - only with amazon.

I just paid for the component and installed it only then to see that the yaz extension is required. Why aren't the requirements documented anywhere? I can't tell from your post - are you saying the amazon access will work without the extension but book search will not? What does that mean? That you can't search book listings for information without this?

I looked at the site you linked to and see the extension, but no installation instructions. I run on a hosted environment (fatcow) and I have no idea how to even begin installing this.

YAZ extension you need for take (search) book (with possibility add "Book info" to self library) from YAZ servers.

Without YAZ - you will can continue search "book info" from Amazon.

We use PECL - YAZ extension from pecl.php.net/package/yaz. If you use some host environment - from some provider - you must ask about extension install from Host support. Self you will can't install it. Host provider very seldom give so possibility.
