language problem 9 Years, 11 Months ago

I am using booklibrary v 3.0 Pro on joomla 3.1.5

I want to translate the component in Greek.

I downloaded the language files and i edited the english.php file (setting -> utf8). I changed only the fields i want to be translated according to your tutorial. I also renamed the file to greek.php and uploaded it to booklibrary language folder. When i upload the file, the language manager of the component doesnt work and all i see is a blank white page at backend.

Any solutions?

I read the thread.

I did exactly all steps.

I added a Greek.php file to language folder. In this php file, i modified the code so it would be like this at the beggining

Code:

$LangLocal = array('lang_code'=>'el-GR', 'title'=>'Greek');

I also added to every language file this code

Code:

$constLang[] = array('const'=>'_BOOKLIBRARY_LANGUAGE_GR', 'value_const'=>'Greek');

I also added greek language to joomla. That gives me other problems, but anyway i did that too.

The component wont get translated.

I can see the greek entries at component language manager, but the value is not the one i set. Sometimes when i changed something to the php file, i couldnt find it at language manager.

I dont know what else to do.

Please help.

I didnt understand much from what you said.

I erased the default books and created a new book category with greek name

I CAN see the greek language to the language manager of booklibrary, but the frontend is still in english

Hello,

First check work that for Joomla articles - if work - must work an for BookLibrary

if for article work - but for booklibrary not, please send to as admin and FTP access to your site and we will check

If for Joomla articles - not work - please check how you install and configure Greek language - in Joomla language manager

Thanks,
