I am using BookLibrary Basic 2.0 with Joomla 1.5.20.

When I give a book a rating, the rating with stars appears within the page for the book title. But the star rating does not appear in the listing of titles for a category. Instead only 5 blank stars are displayed.

For me rating work good.

May be you have not last version Book Library.

Please download last version BookLibrary and change on yours server so files:
folder:
{yours host}/components/com_booklibrary/
files:
booklibrary.html.php
booklibrary.php

Thanks. It worked.

I had version com_booklibrary_BASIC_2_0_2010_12_30

Replacing the two files you mentioned from the most recent version available online (com_booklibrary_BASIC_2_0_2010_12_31) solved the display of ratings in the category listing view.
