Is there a way for new books to be added and/or lend requests to be managed from the front end? The people who manage these functions are not computer literate and I really don't want them having access to the back end

In Pro version - exist possibility add new books from frontend.
Lend request manager - exist only in backend.
You may order custom version with features what you need through ordaSoft contact form
