How can I ensure that the pages displayed by Booklibrary are taken into account by Google's search engine optimization?

all methods for show website content in Google Search - call SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

1 you need submit your site to Google. You may do this
- In Google Search console
- In Google Analitics
2 After that if you correct configure robots.txt file - Google early or later will indexed your site
3 If you need early - you need submit yours site URLs Site Map - to "google search console" - you may submit it as XML file
- or result of "Site Map" component
- or you may submit by every URL - manual

For "Site Map" component - we have XMAP pluin - there was XMAP component for Joomla - which supported creation Urls Map for Joomla. Now it has name OSMap - This plugin help to you with help OSMap - generate all URLs to Book Library and add them to your site links map.

I've already done all that, but the Booklibrary urls aren't indexed even if I fill in the meta title and description fields (I can't see them in the page code)!

For add metadata to your Joomal book Library
You need not only set Meta tags in every Book or Category of books - you also need set settings

admin->Book Library->Settings Frontend -> Add metadata manual

After please clean cache at your hosting/website and refresh cache in your Browser
