BookLibary Component Support

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would to transfert my book Library (full text+images) to another website and would like to know the process for backup and restore.

Hello Rwema,
First of all, Please do full website Backup( files and DataBase), for Joomla we have a lot components for website Backup. Also you may do website backup with help Hostings, as example cPanel has good website backup. When you have website backup - you will can in any time recover old data (when will have some errors)

all below - please first do on test site:
1. do backup below folders from your site
{your site}/administrator/components/com_booklibrary
{your site}/components/com_booklibrary
2. on your site in Book Library - please do full XML export of the books
3. install to it new version Joomla Book Library to your new Website
4. on your new site - please do full XML import of the books.
5. copy folder
{your site}/components/com_booklibrary/covers
from your backup, to new website

P.S. Please do site backup 2 times per month, it will save you a lot of problems in the future.
