BookLibary Component Support

Our old library system used a .xls file to import/export its libraries. Now for BookLibrary we need .xml files (or .csv, but these are too restricted). Is there a way to convert the .xls Microsoft Excel tables into .xml files quickly? Microsoft Excel itself refuses to just save the same content in the two different formats (it only accepts to save it as a .xml table, which I guess is a different thing, since importing that to BookLibrary doesn't work), and of course, it would take a long time to edit every item in a library to produce a .xml file manually.

Before Microsoft Excel supported export data to CSV, May be it do that and now, also you with help GOOGLE may find in Internet many different program what move Excel data to CSV.
