First, I should say that I am so far not very impressed. I am interested in purchasing the component, but only if it will do what I need it to. However, the inability to ask email the developers or ask a simple presales question via a contact form, is not really indicative to generating sales. I am not even sure where to ask a presales question.
However, with that said.
I have been looking for a particular extension for Joomla 3.1 and haven't found but a few that even look like they fit the bill. Here is what I need.
I have a some EBooks that I want to make available as an 'online reference library'. I don't want to allow visitors to the website to download them, but rather to 'check out' an ebook and read it online. I am looking for a joomla component that will allow me to accomplish the following:
1. Make the ebook available for reading on the website.
2. restrict the number of people who can checkout an ebook at the same time
3. limit how long they can have the ebook checked out.
4. prevent downloading, printing, copying or saving the ebook or any part of the EBook to their computer
The books in the library are NOT being sold, are are NOT available for download from the site. There are strictly for reading while logged in to the site.
Will this do what I need?

The administrator has disabled public write access.

Hello,
first of all exist some flash plugin for read book online, I not know how these will work for mobile devices.
If you give access to some body to some book, you can't restrict for that user do simply screenshot from self monitor.
Ordinary restrict access you may do if will show to users not HTML, if you will show to users PSD or text converted to images(that not restrict from screenshot copy). And for every user that book will have some background water mark, so you will know from who that book move to public access.
As example we created some like that site:
soundlightmind.net/wws/ (it yet in development), and there are use PDF, water marks, and user need subscribe for take access to content.
But every time how that will work need special discuss and that will not cheap.
