When a user rate a book item I would like it to show up in the activity stream like

User A did vote Book XXX

Is something like that planned?

Im not a user yet but need a tool that integrate with jomsocial

Update: This tool have something like it: www.joomlamusicsolutions.com/jomsocial.html?lang=en

(for music not books)

Jom Social have only commercial version, so all ours free solutions - will not work on it.

So we not plan add that to ours component.

But you if wish - may order that from as through ordasoft contact form

I know JomSocial is commercial, but you as well have a commercial version...

Book Library Pro - will it work with that one?

Yes , we have Book library Pro version. But for work with media please check ours other component Media Library.

Book library Pro - have only extended features compare with free version.
It must work together with JomSocial - but for now we have't any plugin as you show.
