The customer request is getting stored in the database in the backend.

Is there any possibility that the request gets automatically send to the admin or manager of the website?
Yes, you can.
In our joomla CCK in every "add layout"(add instance, add rent request, add review, add buy request, add booking...) in "add request" also - you may see "mail field", You need add this field to your layout and there set email list where to we will send mail when new "add request" will created.
Please check - in mail - as placeholder you may add any field from "request form" or form parent item - for which you added this request form
If you add request form as example for some "show instance", in "email settings" you may set "send email to this Item owner". So for multi vendor site - you agents or venders will receive request emails. More details how work mail field
