Joomla Gallery Support

Hi

It seems clicks to the pages linked to the images generate automatically when pages with galleries are loaded. Is there a way to prevent this?

In OS Image gallery
If you use field - "link" - there you may set your URL

Gallery self generate only link to show full size images and links to social sharing, Other links you add self

Hi, the links I've added to the images in OSGallery are affiliate links. From my affiliate admin I can see that when I load the pages with OS Gallery to test the look and feel, new clicks on the products displayed in the OSgallery are tracked even though I only load the page, and I do not click any images. Does OSGallery code generate image clicks in order to display images?

Hi Olga,

We not do any click by image at time page load.

If you in chrome open your site page with image gallery, press F12, and in "browser developer console" move to tab "Network" - there you will see all your or browser network traffic.

I add links to image and I not see any "network traffic" to these pages at time browser page load.

If for your page you see so clicks, Please try create exactly links with image in "Joomla Custom HTML image" - and check network again

For me all work good and I not see any click in logs on affiliate link without real click

I will try to create custom html as you suggest. So far I can confirm that you are right - OS Gallery does not generate clicks. It is an issue with the affiliate hub - I have disabled OS Gallery and created image links directly with HTM code in Joomla. And still every page load counts as a click. Clicks are not commissionable just the click reports will be inaccurate.

All look like some error with your template or some plugin.

Please try replace template and check
Please turn off one by one Joomla system Plugins - and check which generate these clicks
