Is there a possibility to add a price to a photo in os-gallery to sell
pictures or do you need virtuemart to make that possible?

If you need sell Photos - you easy may do this with help our Joomla website Builder
There we have "field gallery", field image ..., there you may create any type layouts, there you may set some field accessible only to buyer, there you may create shop for sell pictures
