The way to change the views of the showing elements is good. When I want to custom a view I copy the default.php file to a custom.php file and I change the custom file. After that I go in admin panel area and I choose the custom view file in the dropdown menu. But this is not working for the element that is reporting this constant that I will translate: _REALESTATE_MANAGER_ADMIN_ALL_HOUSES_LAYOUT.
If I choose custom (custom.php) from the dropdown menu, the way of view doesn't change. The changes affects only the default page (default.php) so the issue is: when changes the setting of the dropdown menu nothing appens.

I try to custom the main view of the house and the category listing. It is "House Page Settings". There is a constant: _REALESTATE_MANAGER_ADMIN_ALL_HOUSES_LAYOUT. The dropdown menu of that constant sees the custom.php file that I created in the view folder. But it doesn't work. If I choose custom.php and if I modify that file [site]com_REMviewsview_housetemplcustom.php(default.php).

The same effects in the single category view. If I create a list-custom.php the dropdown menu works and let show me that file. When I go to change the view of the single category and I select the custom file created the changes of that file will not affect. Only the main file can be changed. This means that the dropdown menu doesn't work. My fear is that the customized file that I am creating will be overwritten when there will be an upgrade avaiable.
