I have the "old" REM component and my website runs on Joomla 3.8.8. and PHP 5.6. I found out that my website cannot handle PHP 7.0. Now I got a message from my provider that they will stop using PHP 5.6 by the end of this year. Do I need the "new" REM component then ?? That will be a lot of work; customize it, putting back all the text and images back in again. Or is there another solution ?? Not an urgent problem, but good to know in advance.

Hello
All depend how many custom changes you have.
1.- You may buy VPS or Dedicate hosting and continue use php 5.6
2.- You may create backup of your current site, and move it to PHP 7.0 ( Create test site on php 7), and there fix all problems which appear. May be will not very many
3.- You may Create new site and move to it only most important from old site
You may pay some money to us and we may appreciate: how difficult will do point 2.
