Hello!

How can I add extra fields to the search module? Like town and price as dropdown menus?

Hello,

You will need for that rebuild not only search module, you will need also rebuild search in self component.
And there are most best manual if you self check how added price field.

Please backup your files before any modification

In real estate serach you may do:
- with help Search module
- with help search plugin - what extended joomla search
- with help Advance search - built in Real estate manager component
