Hi admin,
many thanks for your reply.

1 - On all our sites we have always installed Engagebox www.tassos.gr/joomla-extensions/engagebox
It is really too useful fora lot of things, so, Many Thanks to it we are looking if we can find a workaround...

Anyway, if you add it on next release we suggest to keep it as most simply as possible by using the Joomla 4 Bootstrap 5 standard modals: getbootstrap.com/docs/5.0/components/modal/

1B - Please, Where can we change the Flag images ? Can we use the .svg format (J4) ?
Current GIFs are considered "bad" SEO practice by Google, since on mobile they have a too low resolution.

2 - About How to hide the "Select a Language" phrase, it is something really too important for us, a must. Please, Can you help us on find a simple workaround ?

I do not understand why you wrote: "...client need every time set "default site language setting"..." - Please, Can you explain me what do you mean exactly ?

2A - Consider that the "Settings > Website Main Language: ..." (default language) is always included and listed into the "Module > Language List: ...".
Maybe one simple solution could to keep it always in the first position of the list (when no selected)... just it

2B - What is the J4 standard solution for it (for their Language Module) ?

1 - On all our sites we have always installed Engagebox
May be this good tool, for site PopUp, but for modern Joomla website last time we use our Joomla CCK - may be there we haven't so much possibility for PopUp, Bet there we may create 90% types of webSites which you see in internet, and of cause, we may create forms and popup forms. Only Popup accessible in Joomla CCK Pro version. Because of that we create with help our Joomla CCK 90% of our Joomla templates
And if we will create Joomla Template with Joomla Translate in popup form (or hover form - we have it also in our Jooomla CCK) - we will use or Joomla CCK and our Joomla Translate.
Exactly so Joomla Translate in PopUp you may create with help Engagebox

by using the Joomla 4 Bootstrap 5 standard modals:
Look like most simply will move bootstrap, which we use now, to self name space. Joomla use a lot extensions - and every extension use other library exactly as wish.
We will try add this right now - and resend to you new version.

Where can we change the Flag images ?
we in our Joomla translate - have setting for change flags image size. If you not like image which we use for Flag - you may replace them at folder:
{your site}/modules/mod_seftranslate/tmpl/flags

About How to hide the "Select a Language" phrase
If this important for you
We may propose to you order this as "customization service".
Please write to OrdaSoft contact form (ordasoft.com/contact-us-form) with full details description, how all must look and work, and we will give to you quota.

2B - What is the J4 standard solution for it (for their Language Module) ?

What you mean ?
If you on your site use Joomla Native translate or Joomla FaLang - you may use our translate module for receive translate from them

Hi Admin,
many thanks for your detailed answer.

I believe that with Joomla 4, based on Bootstrap 5, your Joomla Translate should run on it, on hat standard:
- less work for you
- more compatibility / integration for all

All the Bootstrap 5 standards should be used, like:
- z-index values: getbootstrap.com/docs/5.0/layout/z-index/
- dropdowns: getbootstrap.com/docs/5.0/components/dropdowns/
- modal: getbootstrap.com/docs/5.0/components/modal/

PS - About the use of Modal with Joomla Translate I think the best settings are:
- modal fade
- vertically and horizontally centered
- Default or Large dimension
- Without the modal-footer
- If you want to use the modal-title it can be the "Select Language" ( that you love )

About the Flag images, "Select a Language" phrase, What is the J4 standard solution
I opened separated topics to don't generate confusion here and to permit to your users to better find the information during their forum searches...

Standard Bootstrap and Joomla Bootstrap - This is one big song.

Our Activation we create with help Bootstap Modal, when we used Joomla 3 - all was good.
BUT When we start Create 1 package for Joomla 3 and Joomla 4 - we had many "excellent" emotions

Hi Admin,
"...BUT When we start Create 1 package for Joomla 3 and Joomla 4 - we had many "excellent" emotions..." = I am speechless...
(I'm agree with you, you are not the first developer to write us that and we are living the nightmare of upgrading our sites from joomla 3 to joomla 4)
