Hide Module 5 Years ago

Hi guys,

ordasoft.com/News/SEF-Translate-Document...e-sef-translate.html
3.6. Hide module. Set to Yes in order to hide module from logged in users. Set to No in order to show module to logged in users. This is necessary to save translation quota.

I'm not able to understand when it is useful, Please, Can you explain with some examples ?

I suppose you write that "is necessary to save translation quota" because if the logged user cannot change the language (beacuse there the language module switcher is hided), but, this mean that the Lanuage Module Switcher is connected with the standard Joomla User Language selector ?

Let me explain with an example:
- Joomla default frontend site language English
- I'm not logged and I select Spanish in module
- I register, on my registration page I can select my frontend language (Joomla): I set Italian -> here I would be able to find all the SEF Translate automatic / Joomla manually languages
- When I Login the setted User Profile Language is shown by default for the user (Italian in this case)
- Where: the Language selector Module can be hided because the Logged in user can/have to change his language in his Profile...

Please, Is it working in this way ?

Hello

Hi Sef Translat component created for translate Joomla site (ordasoft.com/sef-translate-joomla-translation-component)
And SefTranslat component created for save users money

This option hide module for users who login.
We not save data to cache when user login, with that we not show to anther user some private data from cache.

So when user login to site - we switch translate method from Redirect - to Instance.

This option was appear when we switch translate method from Redirect - to jQuery.

Now for Instance translate you also save your Translate quota

Hi Andrew,
This option hide module for users who login.
We not save data to cache when user login, with that we not show to anther user some private data from cache.

In this way:
- Default site language is "English"
- I visit the site as "Guest" and the English language is shown
- I decided to switch to Spanish thanks to the SEF Translate module switcher
- I decide to Register to the Joomla site
- my Browser has saved my last language setting "Spanish" /es in cache
- so, when I'm logged in the /es translated site is shown
- But, if I need to switch to "Russian" just to read one page I cannot because the SEF Translate module switcher is hided
Am I right ?
I find it a little bit silly because I want that always Guests (not logged) and Users (Regestered logged in) have to able to switch from a language to another.

Into documentation you wrote:
- 3.2 "...If you use Redirect translation method and cache pages, when user is logged in Joomla, his page won't be saved in cache and translation method will be switched to Jquery. This option is necessary for security of user's data."
- 3.5 "Use SEF URLs (only for Redirect method). This option is used for correct definition of URLs for translation. If you use search engine friendly URLs on your site, set Yes, if you don't use SEF URLs on your site, set No."
If I use Redirect + API key + URL rewriting /es, when User is logged, Is the /es /de URL rewriting still works ?

In Joomla we can choose the "language" during registration.
Logically, I can select from one of the "manually" Joomla translations installed (not the automatic SEF Translate language).
That language define the frontend language site + outgoing system emails for example.
Is there any type of connection here from Joomla to SEF Translate ? Is there any type of confliction here from Joomla to SEF Translate ? I mean:
- Joomla default frontend language /en
- I use Joomla for /it /fr languages and SEF Tranlsate for all the rest of languages like /ru
- As guest I surf on site selecting Russian /ru
- when I register I can choose to set English/Italian/French, and I want choose French, so all the outgoing system emails will be in French than in English.
- But I still want surf the site in Russian /ru, not in French. I choosed French beacause it was the least worst. Can I ?

Hello

I am sorry, You Human - you self defined to hide module or not.
In our components, every where, the client self defined: what he see or not.

If you no need to hide the module - not hide it. Why you try find error in self logic ?

Hi Andrew,

A - Sorry, I didin't understood; What do you mean with "Why you try find error in self logic ?" ?
I'm just trying to be sure to understand very well how run SEF Translate to use all its features in the right way, no more...

Please, Can you answer to me about:

Hello

In sefTranslate - tools for site translate (ordasoft.com/sef-translate-joomla-translation-component)

/es /de
we think this is error, so we remove so urls

C - In Joomla we can choose the "language" during registration.
Sorry, SefTranslate not magic tools, it not replace (not set) user language - you user profile.
Seftranslate only translated websites pages
