MediaLibary Component Support

Installed the new free version of Media Library on a test site with no errors but when trying to access the component I get this error -

Fatal error: Can't use function return value in write context in /home/inx/public_html/administrator/components/com_medialibrary/medialibrary.php on line 2487

I reinstalled joomla with a fresh database so the only extra component is Media Library and get the same error.

Any help will be appreciated

We have PHP Version 5.6.27 and Joomla! 3.6.4

After I sent the information to you I went in and changed the PHP from 5.4 to 5.6 and then clicked on the component and it now seems to be working. I will test it more tomorrow but feel free to take a look if you want. It's just a test site for trying extensions.
