Hi,
sorry for new thread, but the answer in previous thread is invisible!!??

Sorry, but I cannot make it work with local cover images.
The image url is wrong:
will obvious not work.
Could you please be more specific on how to manually upload and where to.

This is the workflow I have used:
1. Select New Media
2. Select Media Type: Book
3. Book-id auto-generated, ISBN entered, language and categories selected.
4. Fetch Information: Selected 'On your own'
5. Entered Titel, Author, Publisher, Publ date, Num of Pages
6. Browsed to desktop folder for image file for cover, the image file is dipslayed in text box 'Upload picture' with full desktop path.
7. Save & Close
