MediaLibrary Wishlist

It would be great if it was possible to exchange media (in my case books and dvds) between the users without interference from the administrator.
1) when user suggests media - add parameters for the media owner
2) when someone submits lend request - email is sent to the media owner
3) in the media suggestion form - besides title and description add author and cover

The idea behind this is to make the media exchange run with minimum interference from administrator. Administrator only approves new media submissions.

What would it take to customize component in this way?

May be most clear way add field "owner" for every book or other media to mediaLibrary. That field will take "username" - in time creation book.

and Joomla hoster will can add to site other component - what will permit user send Private Messages - one to other.

So users will can self do books exchange.
