Can you tell me how to change category icon? when I fill new form for the catgory I'm not able to select image to upload for the category item.

Please, check general Joomla documentation.

This is where you can add a new Category or Subcategory or edit an existing Category or Subcategory. Categories are used to organize Articles and every Article is required to have a Category or Subcategory. Categories and Subcategories allow you to display related Articles together on a page and to filter Articles in the Article Manager. All Articles must be assigned either to a created Category or a Subcategory or to the special Category called 'Uncategorized'.

Find Category Manager: Edit An Articles Category - Uncategorised - Option Image

This shows Options for this Category, as shown below when tab is clicked:

Alternative Layout. Use a different layout from the supplied components view or overrides in the templates.

{{{Image}}}. Choose an image to be displayed with this item/category in the front-end.
