Hi,

I've unzipped the file into Cpannel, but the installation page is not showing

my site is:

www.silksofcheltenham.com

This is all i usually have to type for the browser to start installing Joomla.

i see an "installation" folder in Cpannel

So I have tried:

www.silksofcheltenham.com
www.silksofcheltenham.com/installation
www.silksofcheltenham.com/installation/index.php
www.silksofcheltenham.com/installation/install

none of these are working to bring up the installation page to start installing.

what should i be typing into my browser for your templates?

Hello,

Try to Install Quickstart Package. Quickstart Package allow you install in few clicks Joomla template, Joomla extensions and Demo data, in final you get full Joomla website.

In the downloaded file, you can find the folder with name "Quick_start_*Tempate Name"

Follow our documentation
ordasoft.com/News/Joomla-Tutorials/how-t...ckstart-package.html

or if you still have problem and you need resolve the error 500 Internal Server Error in file "htaccess.txt" need to make changes:

Options + FollowSymLinks directive replaced by Options + SymLinksIfOwnerMatch
Comment out parameter + ExecCGI
Comment out setting AddHandler, php_value, php_flag
Comment out the directive -MultiViews

Comment out the parameter in .htaccess can be added to the beginning of the string "#" sign. For example need to comment + ExecCGI - it will look like this:

# + ExecCGI

Thanks,

Hello,

It is the Quickstart that I was trying to install, but www.silksofcheltenham.com is bringing up 500 error when it should be install.

Could you explain this a little more because it makes no sense to me:

"or if you still have problem and you need resolve the error 500 Internal Server Error in file "htaccess.txt" need to make changes:

Options + FollowSymLinks directive replaced by Options + SymLinksIfOwnerMatch
Comment out parameter + ExecCGI
Comment out setting AddHandler, php_value, php_flag

Comment out the parameter in .htaccess can be added to the beginning of the string "#" sign. For example need to comment + ExecCGI - it will look like this:

# + ExecCGI"

I'm sorry but I do not understand what you are trying to explain here...?

I have never had to edit .htaccess to install a template before... Why is it not working?

Hello,

In the downloaded file, you can find the folder with name "Quick_start_*Tempate Name". Through FileZilla or another FTP software, upload all files from "Quick_start_*Tempate Name" folder to your website directory. Open your web browser and navigate to the folder that you uploaded your Joomla package. You will see initial Joomla installation page.

Thanks,
OrdaSoft team.

Hello,

Ordinary ERROR 500 - INTERNAL SERVER ERROR - that internal server error.
Please open server error log and check error.

Ordinary joomla web hosting - that httpd server apache and linux, maybe problem in your operational system.

Thanks,
Ordasoft team.
