Cant Remove Social Media Icons

Hi There
I cant seem to remove the social network icons? I disabled the module and they still show. I then remove the links in the template manager and the links just reappear after saving my changes. So there is no way of removing them unless I jump into the code and comment it out. Please let me know if this is a bug or if it is something I have overlooked.

Hello,
Social icons you can change via template admin area, go to: Joomla Admin Area -> Extensions -> Template manager -> Your Template-> tab "Social links" (and remove link for social icons)

Hi Taras
That is exactly what I tried. And the links simply reappear after they have been removed. So you cant seem to remove the links, they are automatically placed back in.

Is there a solution to this issue? I am having the same problem with the Service Station template.
I remove the links in the template manager and they reappear as soon as I save.

Dear Davclayton,
To fix problem you need go to Your website/templates/your template and open templateDetails.xml
find <fieldset name="social_icons" label="Social links"> and delete this item #
or give us access from your website and our team will help you.
