I have just tried to install the new file you supplied, on a local host using a new database.
The exact same problem has occurred. The modules are not showing up.
Have you tried installing it with 3.5?
I have checked this on multiple platforms and have received the same results.

Hello,

We have installed QuickStart of Beyond Template with Joomla 3.5 without any problems.

You can check attached file.

All works good.

You have problem, because You forgot to install sample data. For successful template installation you need to install sample data, select Default English (G Sample Data.

Please, try install again and select Default English (G Sample Data
