VehicleManager component support

How difficult would it be to add a non-auto-incrementing alphanumeric field for VIN number so the client can have both stock number and VIN number in the Specifications area?

You can use extra fields of Vehicle Manager for this.
Vehicle Manager has 10 custom fields.
For creating new fields VehicleManager has Extra Fields manager (Components > Vehicle Manager > Setting page - Vehicle Page Settings)
Put Yes for any Custom Text Fields or Custom Dropdown Field.
Rename your field you can with help VehicleManager: Language Manager - put any name of custom field in Value constant choose Language and rename as you need.

Thanks! I thought the Custom Fields were only for the Features area, not the Specifications area. Can the Custom Fields be ordered wherever I want them?

The Constant for Vehicle ID is _VEHICLE_MANAGER_LABEL_VEHICLEID.

So I need to put the VIN number text box after it in the list. How do I identify the Custom Field I have enabled in the list so that I can change the value and move it right below the vehicle ID row?

Is it _VEHICLE_MANAGER_LABEL_EXTRA1 ?

Orderder Custom Fields possible only via code.

Did you create new field using Custom Fields?
