VehicleManager component support

I see on the "Our Machinery" module one select to "Show property by:"

Last Added
Featured
Top
Random.

What does TOP mean? What is TOP based on? Highest Price? Lowest Price? Alphabetical name?

Featured? I assume therefore that I can SET vehicles somewhere as "Featured"?
Please advise how this is done.
"Our machinery" seems to show only 6 vehicles..... What happens if I have more than 6 vehicles set as "featured"?

Hello,

TOP means most views.
To use option featured in module, you need set number shows and clicks in car, which you want to display.

You should go to admin area - VehicleManager : Vehicles - choose vehicle and chojse Additional info - Featured Vehicle options
Featured clicks:
Featured shows:

add for example 5 clicks and shows.


After you 5 clicks and shows that Vehicle will not show any more.

And of course, go to module and choose Show by Featured.

OK.....

So..... If I want a vehicle to be a "featured vehicle" for ever - how do I do that?
Set the clicks and shows to something like 9999?

You say if I set click and show to 5 then after 5 clicks AND shows the vehicle will not show anymore?
Does that mean BOTH 5 clicks AND 5 shows?
Does "show" mean it has been shown on the "our equipment" page?
So.... If I reload the home page 5 times will that count as 5 shows?
The item will still show because there have been no clicks?

Now - because there has been 5 shows..... when I now reach 5 clicks the item will disappear?
Why would I want such a popular item to disappear?
This seems to put the power to show or hide items in the hands of the visitors to the site?
I would far rather prefer having that power in my hands.

To select images to show on the slider you allow me to set a list of vehicle IDs. Why not allow the same method for items that show on "Our Machinery"?

1) Yes, if You want a vehicle to be a "featured vehicle" for ever you need set clicks and shows something like 9999.

Shows means number of Shows on any page, you open website and see featured vehicle on home page, it means number of shows will reduce.

If you user will not click on vehicle - number of clicks will not reduce.


Option "featured vehicle" using also for Monetizing and Promotion

In Vehicle Manager there is the ability to charge a fee from the agent for the right to add a certain number of vehicles and upload a certain number of photos.

Also a fee for appearing in the featured module (by specifying a number of impressions or clicks for particular vehicle) could be charged.
