Now I would like to add a field to the Add Vehicle form. I need to ad a VIN number field. Any help would be appreciated.

Best and most simply way add new field to Vehicle Manager, to every vehicle that rename any field what you now not use with help language file

By the way, best field for VIN - that VehicleId

Can you be more specific as to which file you are talking about that I can rename the fields to use as my VIN Number and Stock Number fields. I was thinking about using the Warranty section as all vehicles are sold on an as is basis. We have no warranty program now roadside assistance plan so that would work for this information if I change it but need to know what file to edit.

Hello,

In yours case (when for you need field for car VIN) best use field VehicleID.

So you go to folder with language files for vehicle manager:
{yours site}/components/com_vehiclemanager/language/
and rename in yours language file all values for constants where you see "VehicleID" to "VIN"

But I need the VIN number to show up in the frontend and the VehicleID doesn't show up.

I also need to be able to put $ symbol and , in the price. Is that done in the database?
