Joomla Gallery Support

Hi!

I'm using Joomla Joomla ‎5.4.6/OS Gallery 6.1 Pro (2023 y), PHP 8.1

I can't use the extension. The old galleries are still there. I tried updating, but it didn't fix it.
What could be the problem?

You need Update you gallery with new Version of Joomla Gallery
When you update Joomla - you need update and al extensions
When you try update Pro Version with Joomla Gallery with Free Version Joomla Gallery - this may not work good, because Pro version have more fetaures, more layouts more files - so at update time You lost some features but (as example) old files will not replaced (when they not exist in new Jommla Gallery free version ) - so these files will give errors.

Best way:
1. Pro version update with pro version

2. If you update with Pro version gallery with Free version, you need:
!!!!! First Create Full website Backup: Database und Files !!!!!
a) remove all old files in folders:
- {yours website}/components/com_osgallery/
- {yours website}/administrator/components/com_osgallery/
b) Install new version
c) Go to every your Gallery - and resave it(for save new settings)
d) recreate all menu, In Free version we have less layouts - so old layouts will not work

You may give FTP and Admin access to yours website - and we will help do this for you
