However, the documentation doesn't seem to match because when I go to create my Entitie it asks me for the type, which I don't know about.

We every time adding new features to our Joomla CCK so some time documentation not full describe all features OS CCK

now Entity - is type of your object, In you create cars site - it definition of car, if you create properties site - entity id definition of 1 property

IN last version we add yet one type Entity-> Joomla user, so now you may create diffirent users and connect to other instances.
as example you may create community, and create connection some like:
class - some school class, ordinary CCK Entity
students - members of class - Joomla User entity
Teachers - Joomla User entity

What downloads are we talking about
Now with OrdaSoft Joomla CCK You may create shop any goods, and also you may create shop of software. So if you sell as example some "antivirus software"
- and wish add your buyers possibility download new versions during year, in field "Days product download" you set 365 days, exactly if you wish limit download number.
