Hi,

ordasoft.com/News/SEF-Translate-Document...e-sef-translate.html
4.2. Translation algorithm (By default 1). You need to check what algorithm works the best for your website.

It seems there are three algorothms: 1 - 2 - 3
There is no any descriptions, any indications, any suggestions...

How we can measure, evaluate, check what is the best one for us ?

Hi

for Joomla site translate component ordasoft.com/sef-translate-joomla-translation-component
for Redirect method - you may use so algorithms:
1 - most best, there we try translate every row
2 - there we try translate so big html chunks as we can
3 - exactly like 2 but we use another algorithm for find big HTML chunk.

Hi Andrew,
many thanks for explanations, too appreciated !

Tested with all 3 Algorithms types and with Bing / Google, you can check on the test site I sent you by email:

1 - All the placeholders are not translated. Really a big missing.
I attach for you two images. (Be carefull: I have "Email" and not "Correo electronico" in my Spanish page).

2 - The initial letters of the words are often transformed from uppercase to lowercase, and vice-versa, during translations.
These changes seem to don't follow any rule, there is no reason to change them.
There is more, two strange things:
- if I copy and paste the text into the online Google / Bing translator the 99% the uppercase / lowercase initial words are not transformed
- Happen always on the same words, doesn't matter if using Google or Bing
This force us to do a lot of editing work because, as you know, as "online editors / bloggers etc." these small things are too importants !t
Should be a really good thing add the rule to the Algorithms to don't transform initial words letters from uppercase to lowercase and vice-versa, but to leave them as in the original text.

Hello

If SefTranslate - Software for Joomla site translate ordasoft.com/sef-translate-joomla-translation-component

1 algorithm we self parse all texts, but placeholders we not translate (we will check abou add this to next version)
2 and 3 algorithms we send to APi full HTML so Api self translate all what they think need translate

for change initial letters - also we can to say nothings, Google and bing self change this

Hi Andrew,

1 - Placeholder: tested again with Algorithms 1, 2, 3, with SEF Translate cache off, into incognito browser (no browser cache saving) = I confirm that placeholders they are never translated.
Many Thanks for adding this feature into the new release, will stay tuned
Please, Do you have an approximately Roadmap for SEF Translate ?

2 - Uppercase / Lowercase : What seem really too strange is:
A - if I copy and paste the text into the online Google / Bing translator the 99% the uppercase / lowercase initial words are not transformed
B - Happen always on the same words, doesn't matter if using Google or Bing, 100% the same. If it depended on the engine (Google / Bing) there should be differences, at least small differences from using Google than using Bing.
Is it not too strange ?
