In your htaccess

RewriteRule ^/?$ "test.sail4singles.com/solos-y-solteros-en-veleros/"

So your site real located in folder solos-y-solteros-en-veleros

so you need htaccess create for that folder and in that htaccess file use htaccess rewrite rules like:
RewriteRule ^([a-z]{2})/(.*)$ components/com_seftranslate/translate.php?seflang=$1&sefurl=$2 [L,QSA]
RewriteRule ^([a-z]{2})$ components/com_seftranslate/translate.php?seflang=$1 [L,QSA]

My installation is completely standard, only joomla directory is a subdirectory, not the root directory, which I think is quite normal.

I followed your instructions on removing the htaccess of the root directory,
I enabled the standard joomla htaccess in /solos-y-solteros-en-veleros/

And it works, but .........

In my production environment there are many redirects and shortcuts of this type (note the redirection to the true url)

http://sail4singles.com
http://sail4singles.com/video-verano
http://sail4singles.com/como-es

We do not use the joomla htaccess and just use a htaccess in the root that makes these redirects, that all it does is make the short url in the corresponding long.

To be able to run SEF Translate we should pull all our baclinks, shortcuts, SEO, etc.

So far I can not find a solution.

Any idea?
